I have not replaced my cross over pipe and I'm not planning to till I need to. When I do then I will use the larger pipe. I feel the little improvement you get is not worth it, unless you need a new pipe.

Good question, I was thinking the same thing, what exactly does replacing the crossover pipe get you, in performance that is?

I replaced mine a couple of years ago because the OEM one rusted out. I didn't notice any change one way or another, other than no more exhaust leak. With all the salt and chemicals they use on the roads here in Minnesota in the winter, this one is showing signs of rust too. Next time I'll replace it with a stainless steel one.

I managed to get that sound just by going w/ a straight pipe on my 95. I put the crossover on my 97 (when I put in a 3" downpipe and 4" exhaust) but mainly to get all the rusty hardware out of the exhaust before I have a problem. I don't think the larger crossover did much in the breathing dept, but it couldn't have hurt, right?
