Here it goes.....I had a bad tank of fuel, water in fuel light came on, so I drained the tank, replaced the filter and realized the lift pump bit the dust and replaced it.After that was done the ses light decided to visit me much to my dismay. The 17 code is the initial code setting off the 18 and 35 code.I replaced the filter again, cleaned the housing really well and the problem still persists.
Any insight would be helpful,
Stephen

1994 HD3500 6.5 Turbo 5speed electronic injection pump and it is a rollback wrecker.

Bad news 17 and 18 are a bad optical sensor inside the pump most likely caused by the crap and water in the fuel. It might clear up, but I don't think so. You need to replace the injection pump. Contaminated fuel is the number one cause of pump failure. If the truck starts and runs fine, run it and see what happens. 35 is the FSD/PMD on the pump that could also be on it;s way out.

I had a really bad feeling of that.Is there anyway to clean the optical sensor?Today when I ran the truck it did crank and run great for me twice and within 5 minutes stalled and the ses light returned.
As for the PDM.....I bought the remote mount with new PDM from Walt about 3 months ago so I am thinking that it is okay since it is the very last code to set when I watch it with the scanner.

As sixnickel said, DTC 17 + 18 is a bad pump. Need to be replaced. DTC 35 is the PMD, but could be a following failure due to the bad pump.
