The truck would die while driving and I put in neutral and restart. would run 5-10 sec then die and I would put in neutral and it would start then no problem for awhile, then sometimes a week and sometimes a day the whole scenario would repeat. Until today when I had to call a wreaker for a ride home. there is not a ses light that I could find, not even when I turn on the ignition for that few sec. Where is this light supposed to be on the dash? But I had my neighbour scan the computer and this P0251 code came up and it means "P0251 Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control "A" Malfunction (Cam/Rotor/Injector) " does this code mean a new IP is in order any info would be great Thanks

Is that a FSD Heat-Sync from Walt or a FSD Cooler ( the black one ) If it's the black one and you didn't re torque the screws holding the FSD to the heat sink you probably fried the FSD because they loosen up and you don't get the heat transfer. I learned the hard way. If it's Walt's FSD Heat-Sync check the ground between Heat -Sync and the intake manifold. I have had that ground go bad with corrosion and act just like a bad FSD. I also run a ground jumper from the ground screw on the Heat-Sync back to the IP screw where the ground was originally and on more problem. You also need to re torque the screws on Walt's if they are loose it could be a bad FSD. Good Luck

so does this mean i have to take the intake off to run this jumper. Also if i wiggle the pmd harness it would stall this is before it completly died, which makes me think that this ground wire is shot, did your problem give a error code
