What kind of lift do you guys have and how do you like it? I'm looking for a mild lift, no more than 4". Not many body lift kits out there for the 6.5 (im not quite sure why body lifts for the gassers arn't compatable with the 6.5) and the ones that are are expensive.

Because of the SIDE mount turbo. It will hit the inner fender if you lift the cab on the frame. So officially there is NO body lift for the 6.5 TURBOdiesel.
I got a 3" Rancho suspension lift with Add-a-leaf AND 40mm blocks in the rear and Rancho 5000 shocks. I love it. Not to high and the suspension a bit harder then stock, but that's a better driveability at highway speed.

i have a 4" lift and ranch 9000 adjustable shocks. All installed prior to my owning the truck, so i dont know the brand. Ill climb under today and see if i can find anything. I thinkg the 4" is the perfect height, not too high, but just high enough!

the body lifts work completely fine for the 6.5. it has been done many times with or without wheel-well modification. you have to move the reservoir to radiator lines, but thats it. 2" you dont have to cut wheel well, 3" youll have to cut out a section and fab up a metal guard. so if you arent handy, then dont try it. but if you can install a body lift, or even change your own oil for that matter, it is 100% possible.
