I have my 1995 GMC 3500 flatbed in the local VoTech having the NV4500 rebuilt.

The clutch is driving me crazy trying to find a fit.

It is not dual mass.

The flywheel dimensions are:

13 3/4" diameter

The disc contact area starts at 4 1/8" from center of the flywheel.

The disc contact area is 2 3/4" wide.

Problem:

The existing disc is 11 3/4" and has springs in the center.

The springs are showing that they have the flywheel bolts a few times.

The disc is not making full contact with the flywheel. 3/4" on the inside area of the disc surface is not contacting the flywheel. And only 1 3/4" of the disc is making flywheel contact.

It is almost like I need a 13" or bigger disc........ the only ones available are 12" and I'm afraid of the springs contacting and the lack of disc contacting the flywheel.

Any input on this crazy situation????????

2 things
1st The clutch disk is in back wards. The flat side goes to the flywheel the raised hub goes to the clutch cover. (presser plate)
2nd Has the flywheel been turned a few times all ready and the disk sits closer to the bolts??
Also I have had trouble with after market clutches in GM trucks sometimes you have to bight the bullet and go OEM.

Is it possible this is an aftermarket clutch? Sounds like it may be a LUK. IMHO Dan
