Well, out of hospital - 2 operations. hankms for your input "Sixnickle". The lift pump has a hole rusted through the side of it. I removed it today and will buy a new one tomorrow. All the fule drained out of the fuel line coming from the fuel filter. Is there any special bleeding methods I should know about other than to run the lift pump untill no more air comes out at the fuel filter? Please some help:-) Thanks

Glad to here your hands are working again. This is how I bleed mine not sure what year yours is so I will tell you both. On the newer ones with the power distribution fuse block by the master cylinder there is a large harness coming out of it toward the fire wall. About 3 or 4" from the block there is a pigtale breaking out of the poly loom. this is a hot wire to the lift pump, put 12v to it and the pump will run. Open the bleeder on top of the fuel filter till the air is gone and your all set. The older ones have a plastic cover shaped like a "T" over the heater A/C unit on the right side of the fire wall. Pull the cover off and you will find a fuse holder there, this is for the lift punp. Take the fuse and holder and touch one of the pins on the back of the fuse to one of the hot 12v studs right next to it and the pump will run. Do the same with the bleeder screw. This can all be done with engine off key off. Good Luck and have FUN!!

Hey thanks again. Am going to get lift pump now. This seems to be a simple operation.
