Hey everybody, i am a total newb to the diesel thing. I would like to hop up my 6.5TD.
I would like to add a #9 resistor, and also an 80 hp chip... will these work together or should i just wait and only do the chip?
also, i was wondering what kind of boost a stock 6.5 will take without problems? can i bump up a few psi with no ill effects? (i mess w/ turbos on gasoline cars but never on diesel)
Thanks everyone!

Adding boost pressure wont do a thing unless you add fuel.
First thing is get the air induction kit then the 4 inch exhaust that will make a big difference it sure did in my truck.
Cooling should be considered in also, so add the D-max fan kit you wont believe the amount of air it moves. Dont forget to install the heat-sync and get the #9 resistor with it. Every little bit helps and make sure you are using a good fuel additive with the low sulfer fuel that is used now.
The gauge package is also recommendet to keep an eye on things. Garth
94 K2500 GMC ext cab short box auto.
80 hp chip, air induction, 4 inch exhaust, d-max fan kit, upgraded water pump. FSD heat-sync with #9 resistor and 3 gauge A-pillar kit
I pull a 27 foor 5th wheel RV out here in the hilly west and no problems at all..

I use a product right from Stanadyne its not that expensive about $10 for enough to do about 400 litres. As to where to get it in your area im not sure but maybe just ask around at any auto supply store, Im not sure if Walt has it or not ...Garth
