Does the 99 model trucks require a cooling upgrade? Should I do anything to help mine out. It never runs over 190-200 degrees, I just dont want to have any future issues.

you allready have the high capacity water pump so what id suggest is the
D-max fan upgrade it really moves the air especially over the heat-sync if you have one and its a real easy install just remove the upper shroud and loosen the belt and undo the four nuts on the fan and presto better cooling and it really works...Garth J

Is it as quiet as the stock or will it give that howling effect like when the fan clutch engages?

The only time I notice fan noise is first thing when the engine is cold pulling away but its a nice kind of noise. Ive never heard any fan noise when its at operating temp. It reminds me a bit when the shutters would close on my Kenworth.
You will love it trust me...Merry Christmas All....Garth
