Who all has this and how did it compare to the Stock one? Are you happy?? Are there any problems???

What should the Exhaust Temp be when towing?

I'm upgrading my truck soon so I was just wondering what to look for.

I put in the 80 hp ECM about a year ago, shortly after I added the 4" exhaust and marine injectors. It does provide a noticable power boost, but nothing that snaps your neck back like a high perf gas engine. Boost pressures run a little higher than stock and raise quicker, peaking out at 15 psi. Running empty at 2300 rpm, on the level, I get 4.5-5 psi and 500-550 deg f EGT. With my 16ft car hauler trailer with 16" sides fully loaded with oak firewood, going up a slight incline or excelerating, it runs about 10 psi boost and 1000 deg EGT. With my foot in it hard with a load it will hold boost up around 11 or 12 psi and EGT up around 1100.

I didn't have gauges before, so I don't know what it was doing. I do know that carrying a heavy load for long distances in hot weather, requires some effort to keep the engine cool.
