DTC test

I was getting SES light coming on in my 94 6.5.I did the test and the SES light flashes 7 times then 8 times.I'm assuming this is a code 78.This is the first time trying this so any help would be appreciated.This is the only code that comes up.I have cleared it but the SES light came back and I repeated the test and the same code came back up.Merry Christmas to all.

Turbo:
A 78 code is the wastegate solonoid. Its very simple to replace it. SS Diesel sells the part. I also highly recommend gauges if you don't have them. I didn,t know that my wastegate solonoid was bad until I got gauges. I didn't get any codes but I knew I didn't have any power and was blowing a lot of black smoke when in a pull. I put the guages in, clearly saw that I had no boost pressure, checked out the wastegate system and quickly learned that my wastegate solonoid was bad. After the change, BIG difference in power.
