 Hey guys new to the site, i have 97 3500 f vin 6.5 243,000 miles had truck for almost 4yrs now never had troublem with it till now . took it autozone yesterday to have it scan they told me i had 2 codes going on

1) was a bad turbo sensor

2) injection timing control unit

ok the ? is where is injecter control unit at and is this easy thing to do yourself. turbo sensor i know where this is my other ? is would timing control unit cause the truck to stall going down the road and hard to start, reason i am asking is i be driving down the road it will just shut off it will start right back up run rest of the day and some time it just die will not start up but if u wait 5 mins it start right up. Now i told FSOL would cause this. Just try to fine a spot start at this is only thing me and my wife has to drive and she put about 100 to 200 miles day on it, dont need her stuck on the side of the highway.........

I sounds like you have a classic case of a bad FSD/PMD The Achilles heel of the electronic 6.5. Go to SS Diesel Supply FAQ's and read it. I would say it's time to buy a Heat-Sync Kit and install it. Also check out part# ssd-241 the turbo boost sensor. What are the DTC#s AutoZone came ou with???
