Here's what we rolled up on at 3am a couple of weeks ago, with only 2 of us on the first in fire engine.

People always ask me why I wanted to be a firefighter. I tell them I tought it would be a fun and exciting job. Well, this is one of those exciting times.

I always say:

People always want to know whats going on and to get a better look at a car accident or a structure fire. Being a fire fighter they actually call you up and you get a front row seat.

Was that truck in the picture a six five?

Sometimes the front row seat is too close. I was at a car fire last winter, heard a load bang and saw somethig shoot past my head. After all was done, I found the airbag melted in a clump laying about 20ft behind the car. That would have hurt some.

The truck in the drivway was a Silverado (no 6.5). There was a new Suburban and a 4X4 ATV in the garage, along with tools and stuff.

I tell you what.... My hat is off to all firefighters...... I definitely don't have their guts and they do a very important service to our society.... It is a pitty that at Memorial day they don't also remember the fire fighters that fall here on our own soil saving lives every day.........

:) Thanks!

Hey, Jody

I guess the operative word is 'was' a Silverado and 'was' a new Suburban. The important thing was nobody injured, after all, the rest is just things.
