I have a 93 6.5 that was stalling after I would start it. It turned out to be a fuel leak at the fuel filter. Make sure you have no leaks and there is no air being sucked in. Bob

I was having the same problems with my 95! I pulled the cap off the fuel filter.. the gasket blew and there was fuel dripping down the back of the engine.. New filter, now no more stalling!!

How does it stall? Does it stumble and quit or just shut right off??

When mine was stalling it would start and about 10 seconds later die and not get started for like 15 minutes. I would crank for a few secs and then let the lift catch up pressure, wait a few and do that again every 3 or so minutes and it'd finally start. But, sometimes i'd be driving for like 10 minutes and it'd randomly stall when driving at like 25 mph. I don't know how much of that is the PMD or the fuel filter leaking.. I know I need a new PMD and Walt's heat sync, but that comes with time and money!!
It hasn't done the stalling recently since I put on the new fuel filter!!

I have the same type of problem but i know it is not fuel lines. I think it is the PMD that is bad and it came from SSD. but i did not install it. it was on the truck when i bought it and the guy had just put it on. but he did not use SSD mounting and I think that it is over heating but i am not sure.Mine is also a 94 yukon with the 6.5

If these engines just stall and quit clean, instantly, chances are it's the PMD/FSD. I have not seen one set a code yet!! IF it stalls as though it stumbles, lays down and dies not instantly, it could be a fuel supply problem.
