black smoke - over fueling
white smoke - burnt coolant or water condensat in the exhaust
blue smoke - burnt oil
Sounds to me like your engine gets to much fuel (from the marine injectors) but not enough fresh air. The white smoke could be a coolant leak, water is coming into the combustion cahmbers and burnt there. Doesn't sounds good to me.

White smoke is usually a bad thing. I'd be concerned about headgasket vs cracked head :( .
Good luck

The white smoke i'd be concerned about first, the black smoke is overfueling like stated above. If you have an adjustable boost actuator, you can turn that up for more boost/power. If you don't have guages, that's a little risky too.

Well, if you read my answer to your other post, you have your answer. You have either blown a head gasket from head warpage due to your excessive 1200*F EGT's, or you have cracked a head, most likely between the intake and exhaust seats and into the cooling passage from the same 1200 EGT cause. Either way, the offending head or heads are now useless, as they CAN NOT be resurfaced due to near zero valve to piston clearances if warped, and make dandy row boat anchors if cracked:D !
Either way, the white smoke (coolant leak) isn't going to get any better, just worse over time. Monitor your coolant level carefully, don't toast your entire motor. Save your money up and prepare to pull both heads to see what's gone on in there.
Sorry to rain on your parade.
Hope this helps:).

When I first start my truck in the morning it always shoots out a decent amount of white smoke, but after that there is really nothing. If I had a major problem that would be my excuse to go ahead and drop a duramax in!
