I am looking at some boost gauges and I would like to know from everybody who has them installed a few things. First, what type of sending unit does it have or does it have a hose that attaches directly to a fitting on the intake. I have seen a few gauges that list installation hardware as "hose and tee fitting". Second, if yours has a hose, is it standard vacuum hose or is it braid line? Third, if yours does run off a hose type arrangement, where did you tee into or did you have to drill a port in the intake and buy a fitting? Any help or recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

I got a boost gauge from autometer I believe it was $40 and it has a plastic hose that you connect to a fitting on the intake plenum, I drilled and tapped a 1/8" NPT hole to install it. The hose connects with compression fittings. You can get a boost gauge that has an electronic sender but this will probably end up running you more like $150-$200.
