DTC 35 - Injection Pulse Width Error (Response Time Short)

Could be the PMD. Before buying a new one, you should try (if possible) with an other PMD, if the code comes back and/or if problem solved.

I'm only just on subject, but had to take the opportunity to say that I moved my SS Diesel cooler PMD to the passenger side hole in the front bumper, an easy instalation, with a mixture of used *14 and *16 guage wires and it runs. Also I managed to remove the PMD from the injector pump without removing anything from the engine, it is still OK, good to have a spare. If anyone wants the details and design/photos for either operation please post and I'll organise it.

That's similar to what I did.... Search for "PMD Grill Mount" here and you'll see my thread......

After seeing your photos, I was going to mount mine there also, but there is an extra cooler in the way, so put it in the bumper. Have just tried to attach fotos but even with the camera on minimum of 0.8 MP , the photos are too big, 167 to 200 kb. There is also a photo of the tool to remove the PMD from the pump without removing the manifold. Maybe Garth can make the photos fit if someone wants them.

Can you give me some tips on the wiring - connectors needed and where source from - I want to relocate mine also. How did you get the PMD off the pump without removing inmani ? Great job ! thanks

Ok Garth I'll send you the pictures and the use explanation I emailed to another member.
To LookerOhio, I just cut the wires one at a time near the plug and soldered in the extension of 14 or 16 gauge wire, first putting a piece of heat shrink insulation on each end of the extension.

If these photos are not clear enough I'll take new ones. This tool allows the removal of the PMD from the fuel pump without removing the inlet manifold. Variations in manifold casting or injector pump timing position may interfere.
The tool can be made from 16 guage panel steel. Dimentions in inches are:-
5 1/4 long, 1/2 wide, 1/4 wide end where bit is (make it as narrow as posible to allow it to roll in and out of the screw near the manifold) 1/16 thick, Torx bit N° 15 protruding 1/8 from tool.
To make tool, drill an undersized hole in the end of the sheet metal, hammer the torx bit through, cut the hexagonal part off with a grinder and if you are a good electric welder, spot weld where cut off, with 1/16 or 3/32 electrode 30 amps, or easier braze it and grind as much weld off as possible. Use with the long protrusion for the lower screws, easier, then grind to 1/8 inch bit protrusion, for the screw by the manifold. Once half the head of the screw is out, finish unduing it with pointed nose pliers. Tie a string to the tool to get it back from under the injector pump, it will find it's way there. Have patience, it is fiddely. Good luck.
I have replaced the tool photos with new ones and added photos of where the PMD now is inside the bumper and is attached to the rear upper lip of the bumper by two self drilling roofing screws, drill the holes first, not too high.
