What shocks do you recomend.

I have a 1994 Silverado, 2500 HD, ext cab, long bed, 4x4.

I use the truck at this point for light duty. I am a bang for the buck kind of guy. I don't have to get the cheapest and I don't have to get the nicest, coolest either.

Skyjacker makes two classes of shocks one is hydro for a softer ride and the other is nitro for more HD. They run about $30-$35 each for the hydro's. I don't know if the IFS front still use regular shocks or coil overs but in my opinion you cant go wrong with a set of skyjackers. They are beefier and better riding then anything stock.

Hello,

Bilstein!!!!! If you want them to last!! I had a 95 X-cab Z-71 with 165,000 shocks were still like new,Sold it to my brother and he's still driving it now 225,000 and still rides nice.I just got two rear one for $59 each at Autozone.A little pricey but they will out last this truck. This is best shock made,They put them on Z-71,Benz,Audi,cop cars etc.go to there website.

I second the Bilstein's best shocks for the money

Bilstein ? Not bad, but the Rancho 5000 is good also and is about 44 bucks each at summit racing. I got them in my truckand i'm very pleased with them.

Since this is the Chassis Electrical Forum (not the Drivetrain forum) I would recommend 60,000 volts at 30 milliamps to the temporal lobes for 5 bursts of 3 seconds with a 4 second pause in between:p:D! Mmmmmm... comfortably numb ala One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest:D

I got the coil over (road levelers) for my truck only for the back and a new set of regular shocks for the front. I have the back ones in now and it rides so much better. I need to still put the front ones in cant wait. The coil overs are very nice for towing or if you haul any type of material around. Pretty much preference

For what it's worth. About a year ago I put a set of 4 Bilstein shocks on my wife's Suburban and we love them. In about a week I will be ordering a set of 4 for my 2000 K3500 SRW. I feel it is definitely the worth the extra $$$$!!!! I talked one of my Buddys with a F350 Power Joke in to them an he said "never thought a Ford could ride so good"
