engine temp

what should the normal operating temp (WATER) be in 90 degree weather.
I have a98 6.5td in a3500gmc. It is not overheating, I was just wondering what is normal. It usually runs about 200 or so with the A/C running.

Should be between 195°F and 200°F or in Celsius between 90°C and 95°C.
A diesel need "warm" engine for a quite and good burning process of diesel, but it should not be to hot. More than 212°F or 100°C is not good and cause head cracking and/or other "problems".

Depends on the accuracy of your gauge, but also depends on the thermostat, if it is a 180° or 190° stat, should be that temp.
