my truck wants to start getting hot any time i put it under a load like up a hill or over a pass loaded or not it got hot with just me and my wife trying to drive around in the mountains but around town it stayes at even normal temp even on hot days so i'm kinda lost. i have had the entire cooling system gone through when i put new engine in 15,000 miles ago and its starting to do this so any help would be great.

Is your cat blocked with carbon?

What about a defective thermostat ? If it is closed and will not open or opens not enough, the engine will get hot after a short time, also without any load.

Sounds like a sticking thermostat.

Good luck,

it sounds like a cupple of thing 1 the thermostat is bad or put in backwords or the radiator is bad or pluged or there is air in the system

I put in new T stats, HP fan, flushed the system and replaced the stock coolant with the good old green stuff and still had high heat issues. I finally replaced the radiator and all is well now, except for a possible cracked head, due to the high heat issue.
