After I finished installing my clutch line. I took the CJ out for a little test drive. I drove around the block a few times and everything was going great. Then I stopped, put it in granny low and whomped on it, then let off, the inertia of the truck took the engine with it for a few seconds then the engine died and wouldn't restart.

I believe I might have let the tank go empty and ran it dry. The tank sounded pretty empty when I hit it with a wrench. I plan on filling it up tomorrow and re-priming the fuel system. Is there anything else I might want to check? the timing? could the timing chain break? I didn't look into it but just wanted to see if anybody had any ideas.

I've run low on fuel, then gone to uneven ground and sucked air into the line, but it takes about 2 minutes of slow driving to get the air to the pump, and stall.

The tank definitely was not empty.

I cleaned out the IP return line, bled the first two cylinders on the drivers side and rechecked the glow plugs connections. It started up. Not sure if the IP swallowed some air from somewhere when I was bouncing the jeep around but I guess I should make sure I take a 3/4" or 19mm wrench with me on the trails.
