Hey, I wondered if anyone had any advice. I was driving home the other night and my gauge lights started to flicker. At first I thought it was just my eyes getting tired, but then they went totaly black. I stopped at a rest stop and checked the fuses, thinking that the pillar gauges had over loaded the fuse, but all fuses were good. The next day I changed the headlight switch thinking it might be the dimmer, but no change. Any ideas? Any help would be great thanks!

Think about that :

Perhaps the lamp inside is bad or loosen ?

Did the gauges all work and only the light come on when switching the low beam on ?

I would have considered that but the three seperate gauge in my pillar pod went black at the same time (they are fed by the same fuse). Also, all of the gauges continue to work corectly just no lights.

Yesterday I pulled the dash apart, as the dash lights would work when they felt like it and the air con. recirculation would put itself on and off at will. All of the contacts that the plugs go onto were brown. After sanding them, all are working fine. Put some silicone grease on them. You may need to pull the instrument panel and clean the ones behind as well.
