Clutch will be worn out, I haven't seen a manual clutch ajustment on a Chev, I'm not old enough. Don't keep driving it like that, it will cause radial cracks in the flywheel, adding to the parts to replace.

All you can do its try and bleed any air from hydralic clutch slave cylinder. Kinda like bleeding brakes. Most likely though your clutch is worn out, and needs replaced. As grancito stated, the longer you drive it slipping that badly, the more parts your gunna haveta replace.

Pretty sure these trucks, or at least mine, have the slave cylinder in the bell housing. Never had to bleed one of these. On my '79 GMC all you have to do is get down and turn a nut to tighten down the clutch. My buddies Ford had a problem like this, was leaking oil all over the clutch. Sounded like the trans was coming out of it though.

Not sure weather these trucks have an internal slave (directly on transmission input shft) or externaly mounted ( external slave cylinder that pushes on the end of a fork) either way there has to be a way to bleed the air outta the internal slave. Should be some sorta bleeder screw mounted someplace extruding thru the bellhousing.

the NV4500 in the GMT400 trucks was external slave from 1992-1995 it was internal slave from 96-00.

air in the clutch hydraulics wont affect engaging characteristics. it will only affect whether it will disengage or not.

    Default ...turn off engine...

...jack up truck...pull dust cover and look inside clutch housing to determine A: dual mass flywheel or 2: no dual mass flywheel...if dual mass then original clutch and it's time...if no dual mass then it's been replaced at least once and had a hard life and it's still time...if it doesn't move at all look to see if driveline is turning,as u could have a rearend or axle problem...also make sure transfer case is in gear...

Sounds like oil on the clutch plate, usually comes from the front seal in the transmission.
