A boost gauge is good to have to diagnose problems. You have not filled in the year etc of your vehicle, that is important to daignose problems. I don't know if a boost fooler will increase boost on a standard system, but it stops defueling when you have a mechanically controlled waste gate, and then you need a gauge to set the pressure.

A 1994 2500 is F, and you should have a boost gauge to tell you when the lifters are bad, the boost goes nuts at about 2500 rpm.

Ok so I do have a f vin. What else does that mean? Will I be increasing the boost when I put in the 10k pot?

F vin means you don't have exhaust gas recirculation to the intake, and engine supposedly has slightly higher HP. I don't know if the boost fooler increases pressure, but with a manual waste gate, it stops the engine defueling when the boost gets to around 13 psi.

Means that a spring is used instead of the vacuum system.

I already did the mechanical waste gate on mine and it has defueled a couple times on long hills. How do you know where to set the pot in order to stop it?
