Default Parts for bw 4470 transfer case

    Hey guys,
My input carrier assembly (input shaft + planetary) needs replacement. Splines are gone. Does anyone have one? I have tried to
locate one. So far no go, discontinued. Any suggestions? If I cannot
repair I am going to try and part out the truck. I dont want to install a used
or rebuilt unit, by the time I repair the nv 4500 with new shaft the cost will
be more than what the truck is worth. Thanks , JIM

Are the splines bad on the shaft, or just the planetary? I rebuilt the planetary splines.

    Default bw 4470 transfer case

    Hey Grancito,
Both the trans output shaft splines and the input splines on the
transfer case are wiped. I can take the output shaft of the trans and literally
spin that in the transfer case shaft end. A proper repair requires replacement
    of both ends. Thanks JIM
