    Default starter wire touching manifold

    Hi all,
changing my starter today and I find the trigger wire (sorry dont know proper name) is touching the manifold and has melted the plastic coil sleeve. It will be hard to hold it off of the manifold and the crossover pipe. Is there a material i can get easily to sleeve that section with that will protect it?
    Thanks

Fiber glass tube is used for hot insulation, but availability? You could use fiber glass tape from a marine shop, it is used for "stitch and tape" boat construction.
