    Default Oil cooler lines on 99 burb

    Any one know if the oil cooler lines can be bypassed on this 99 Burb. Tired of changing these lines and the truck has never towed anything. This is also a gas truck but dont think it would be any different than a diesel. Can the lines be pulled and plugged? I dont really need the cooler do I?
    I have a 1997 horton 4X4 ambulance converted into a motor home. New hot glow plugs, remote PMD and cooler and air induction kit. New duramax fan and 180 degree thermostates. I also own two 99 suburbans.

    Not recommended, the oil will get hot and thin. Also, the line needs to return the oil from the pump relief valve, to the pan.

    I had a leak in the metal part of the line, and patched it, but will think about having the local hydraulic hose shop make complete flexible lines when I make the suburban engine rebuild. Others have done that.
