Instead of hunting for the fuse, disconnect the batteries for a few minutes, will have the same result.

Thunderstorm ended and I was out in the driveway with a flashlight before reading your last message but I will remember that if it happens again. I found the TCCM box and pulled as much of the dash as I could to get a look. But, the wires ran into a hopeless large bundle taped together with lots of electrical tape in a place too small to get more than a finger or two on. There is nothing in fuse hole #2 but the girl that I bought the truck from years ago let her fiancee drive it most of the time. He was a cook who thought he was a "mechanic extraordinaire". He blocked the bumper hole airflow, messed up trying to install a roof antenna, tore up the console trying to make a placeholder for his pipe and tobacco (no kidding) and rewired some things in a curious manner. I pulled every fuse that was supposed to be a 20 amp, one was 30, for three minutes, started the truck 5 times and now my 4wd seems to be working. Thank you!

    Grancito for President!

Now, what exactly is the correct procedure to move into and out of 4Low? I don't think I do it correctly.

Thank you for the nomination. The truck needs to be in neutral or park for the 4 low shift. I'm pleased to hear it was a simple fix, a lot of problems are, with these electronic vehicles.
