Except for the first one,(no photo) the photos are all of a hydroboost, a vacuum booster is a huge metal can for gas engines. You need to get the master for a hydroboost, the vacuum boost ones, have no drain groove venting out the bottom, incase of an oil leak. You can see this by enlarging some of the photos. Also check your codes to see if you have JB5, JB6, JB7, JD8 or whatever brakes.

My code is JD6. For the booster I match with A-1 CARDONE and with ACDELCO.

There isn't a match on Rock Auto's site for the master cylinder.

I have searched a lot, and really haven't found any satisfying information in any of the parts pages, but it seems that that same master is used on JB7, JD7, JD6, and JD5 brake systems. I'll look a bit longer.

Thank you very much for the help and information. Is there generally much difference in the quality of ACDELCO vs CARDONE parts?

In some cases ACDELCO parts are better than other manufacturers, but Cardone is a large and old supplier of parts, so I would think that they are OK.

One more question, I hope, how many hours will it take a skilled mechanic to get this job done?

Half an hour for you to change the parts, bleed the master at the outlets of the master to not get air in the lines. Easy job.

Just one last check-in before I place my order, this A-1 Cardone 527352 "Reman. Hydraulic Power Brake Booster w/o Master Cylinder" is a Hydroboost, isn't it? cardone.jpg
