    Default Adding fuel treatment

Is it safe to drain the fuel filter housing and add straight Diesel fuel treatment in the housing?

The additives are usually thin, and won't lubricate or burn like diesel. I add about half a cup of additive to the diesel in the filter of the 6.2 Chev, when damp fuel has caused the pump to have a sticky throttle and governor. It runs fine and instantly cures the problem.
