Default A question on oil filters

Not going to discuss brands, that would be like discussing which oil would be the best. LOL
Are there specific filters designed for the particulates in diesel engines ?
Or, just use any good brand of filter like the WIX ?

I just did`nt know if there was a company making filters specifically for diesel engines.
The DOT used whatever filters came in on the cheapest bid.
