I am still having problems with this truck, I have replaced about everything and truck just starts up and idles. The service engine soon light and service throttle soon light are on. I have been trying for a year now to figure this out and am getting frustrated. I have thousands tided up in this thing now and don't know what to do anymore. I could really use some help!!! Thanks

Have you tested or replaced the throttle position module? Your 96 model is in the years of bad ignition switches, which can cause various problems when it becomes faulty. My 95 had SES and throttle light for some time then 1st gear only, some days. A new ignition switch fixed it, it was a pain to fit, and was more than $100.
