Where to buy new PMD and Harness?

My truck won't start all of a sudden after running great for the past few years. In the past, it has always needed just a new PMD and 6 foot harness. I installed a new harness and what I thought was a never-used PMD (can't remember for sure, but it is probably 8-10 years old). My truck cranks but won't start.

For years, I have been buying my harnesses and PMDs from Pensacola Diesel. To be fair, this PMD is very clean but might not be new/unused. I do know that the harness is new/never used but it doesn't seem to fit right like the previously purchased ones have.

2 Questions
1. Where is the best place to purchase a new pmd and extension harness?
2. What do I need to do to make sure the PMD/harness ground is adequate??

I bought a kit, PMD, Harness, and cooler, from South East Power systems Of Daytona on Ebay $220 in 2015, it is still good, the reman IP from Pensacola at the same time is good. The PMD needs to be grounded to the IP, the heat sink does not need to be grounded.

Thanks Grancito. years ago, I relocated the PMD and heat sink to the bumper hole (I will move it if I need to). I do seem to need a new pmd every 2-4 years. I did just order a new pmd and harness.

How do I ground the PMD to the IP? Is just plugging the new 6 foot extension harness into the original plug good enough or do I need to add or splice a new ground wire?

Just the plug will work. The ground was mounted from the plug, to a PMD retaining screw on mine, so when I removed the PMD, I connected the ground to a different screw on the IP. I have been saying that the PMD is grounded to the IP, which is not really the case, it is the ECM that has a ground to the IP. The PMD on my suburban is 15 years old and the truck, 7 years. It is mounted in the bumper hole on the suburban, and under the bumper on the truck.

Well unfortunately brand new PMD and harness didn't help. The truck cranks but will not start. it had been running fine but it has been sitting for 2 months (couldn't get it to start). Any suggestions?

First look at my last post, it has been edited. Sitting for so long likely means the fuel has drained back to the tank. Loosen 2 injector nuts, make the lift pump run, not sure how on your model, while bleeding the fuel filter, then see if the fuel comes out of the injector lines while cranking. This technique gets air out of the IP and it can inject, always works for me.

Thanks, I can bleed the fuel filter and I have a switch wired in the dash so I can run the pump with the key turned on.

I know this is a stupid question but where exactly are the injector nuts that I loosen?

On the drivers side of the engine, at the front, are two injectors that are easily accessible, they have small steel tubes running to them, I loosen them a bit and all of my engines that ran out of fuel, and the new one, started quickly.
